This just came out of the finder's collection - it has been in his collection since the early 1970's. This was found along the CPRR right of way of the western piece of the first US transcontinental railroad. The end is clearly embossed BROOK S PATENT CP RR AUG 6 1867. The glass inside is the SCA style. Not sure what "mint" means for one of these, but it looks mint to me! I have additional photos if you want to see a different view.
