Here is a picture of 3 pieces marked with a "W" and a four digit number. Click on the View Original feature to better see the markings on the insulators.

Due to the "Bright White" glaze on these pieces, I believe they were made in Europe, on order from a British pottery firm, for British use in either foreign countries, (Argentina, Uruguay etc.), or to be used in the "Colonies" comprising the British Empire.

The numbers shown read W7231, W7240, and W7244. W7231 and W7244 were found in New Zealand. W7240 was recovered in Uruguay

A few questions. Does anyone know what company made these W marked insulators, and

Does anyone have any other styles of W marked insulators or spools etc..

Do you know what country your W marked insulators were found in.

Any responses or suggestions greatly appreciate Thank you,
