For those who never heard of it -- Museum wax is a pliable, sticky, clear wax that originally was used by museum curators to anchor artifacts to display shelves. I found it in our local well stocked Ace hardware. It can also be found on the web, but probably costs more. I bought a 13 oz can for $13. Another way to secure glass is to put a dab or two of silicon sealant on the bottom. You can always remove it with a razor blade. I did that with my bottle collection, but because of the inconvenience, I haven't cleaned them in three years. The wax is convenient, but a little bit messy. I clean it up with alcohol based shellac remover.
