What great manufacturing information on Duquesne glass. I now understand why the domes on Duquesne insulators are so crude. I have three of the "3 rib" mold variant that all have the same skirt embossing and rib placement. Notice the ss in glass on the 106.1 & 106.3, they look like 8's and are stepped, also the solid o in company. The 3 rib version has the same embossing characteristics on both CD types. I feel the peaked dome was the first style, then went to the rounded dome. Below the upper ridge seems to be unchanged. Others may find their embossings match both CD styles. Another oddity is the "eye" or circular mark on most all Duquesne domes. The mark is not in the same place. This may now be from the "right side up" glass pour manufacturing process. Duquesnes are cool pieces and quite a few collectors seeking them in western PA.
