This is one of the earliest if not the very first Lapp suspension insulator manufactured. It has a strap style hanger riveted onto the metal cap and these are very scarce and difficult to acquire. It comes with the original line conductor hanger shoe. This example was found in a string of six and several were marked with the Lapp date stamp indicating 1917 & 1918 production dates. This is a 10" suspension disc.
