The NIA Altered exhibit was expanded a little this year since I was easily able to transport more items from the NIA collection of altered samples. Paul Greaves also combined a group of fake insulators that were donated to the NIA (off to the right on the table--see next pic). The photo group on top of the show case consists of insulators obtained by the NIA for experimental purposes. These were highly suspect of being subjected to radiation to alter their colors. A series of natural solar heat exposures produced interesting results to all specimens. The final results of the series were shown by displaying the actual specimens on the center top row.
