Another unexpected find in central Canada, is this 10 inch German suspension. The other discs in the string of 6 were Canadian Porcelain and Ohio Brass . Recently removed from service during an upgrade, they came from the same line that also produced these Italian discs. [id=305996956] The caps are unusually large when compared to most other suspensions of this rating. This allows the cavity around the shank to be quite deep, extending well up into the cap, a feature I have only seen on one other suspension and it's not really comparable. [id=272772983] The porcelain is also noticeably different from most US made discs in that it has a more flat profile and so appears thinner.

No markings on the porcelain, cap marking is Mt 1162 a+ above that are the three triangles which indicate German manufacture.

update; George Sukhoff adds "The three deltas emblem on the cap belongs to HESCHO (Hermsdorf-Schomburg).I have several HESCHO insulators: Mt1175++/HA-292, Mt2030/HA-613 and Mt2030+/HA-613. All of them are from 1927-1928 and have marks on the porcelain too (tree deltas, year and insulator model).'
