CD 110.6 vs CD 158.6 spiral top

Now, with the information about the smaller pin hole, we can extrapolate a little... Clearly the "cork screws" look to be of similar design, however the CD 158.6 piece appears to have steeper threads... but does it?

Given that the CD 110.6 has a smaller diameter pin hole (see previous photos) the diameter of the top "cork screw" would also be smaller reflecting this construction.

Now with a little PhotoShop (it's OK for this example :-) what if we keep the height of the cork screw on the CD 158.6 the same, but just stretch it horizontally to get an idea what it might look like had it had a larger diameter pin hole. I was not scientific in stretching it based on the different diameters of the pin holes on the CD 110.6 and the CD 158.6 but I just stretched it to the same width as the CD 110.6 top.

As you can see, when enlarged in this way, it is extremely similar in shape and thread pinch as the CD 110.6 ... Only the tops of the pieces are shown to allow you to focus on this area. Interesting? ...
