An Albany-Hudson interurban streetcar for sale after the New York state interurban line closed. This car is one of 2 identical types purchased by the railway in 1925. It is equipped with all 3 types of current collection devices: trolley poles, a pantograph and third rail shoes near the wheels. The cars are being sold by New York Power & Light Corp., the receiver of the abandoned railway. The 2 cars were sold to the Fonda Johnstown & Gloversville Railroad in Fonda, NY, who ran them for several years. They were again sold in 1942 to the Portland Electric Power Co. in Oregon, who ran them until 1954 and scrapped them. To see the route the Albany-Hudson ran them on in present day [id=306015822]
