The left hand vertical stroke on the "N" in "PATENT" is completely missing on this example. HEMINGRAY / NO 9 // PATENT / MAY 2 1893. I'd be interested to see another example from this exact mold just to find out if this was a one-time "fluke", or if all examples that came from this mold have the same missing stroke.
