It's about time I posted an up to date picture of my display since the insulators are constantly changing as and when I acquire new pieces.

The construction of the shelves is very basic but effective. The uprights are conduit tubes, very similar to piping. There are four of these. The shelves are made of pine covered with uPVC window sills. Holes are drilled into the shelves to allow the conduit to pass through. A piece of thicker conduit is cut into small lengths and attached to washers to form the fixings. These have a screw through them which passes through the main uprights to keep the shelves at a set distance apart. The whole thing is anchored to the wall by two brackets attached to the top shelf. I built this in 2005 and it has stood the test of time.
