Early House Strike

Two purple and grey swirled Stamp-type Hemingray No.9's still hold their pin positions, likely held since put into service sometime before 1910. Some of these early strikes did not provide a third wire for ground, utilizing only a hot and neutral lead, and a ground rod off the fuse panel, I presume. I have never found one of these still intact and in active service to see how it was wired.
