This home, built in the late 1880's, sports the coolest wrought iron bracket to bring the power strike to the house. I have eyeballed this thing for 15 years and made several attempts to contact the owner about saving it, but never have heard back after leaving my number. With a possible upcoming deployment, I have put the boot to my posterior to try and secure some of these items around town so they do not get trashed while I am gone. I appeared at the door in line gear and hardhat and asked for contact information regarding removal of the abandoned electrical strike on the building. I got a call the next morning saying I had permission to remove any unused hardware I wanted.
