A nice character piece. The pinhole is cocked off to one side and just full of "swimming fish" bubbles. This one was found nailed to a large pine tree near Oakhurst, Cal. in 1969. It had been used as part of a communication system on a lumber flume built by the California Flume & Trading Co. in the mid-1870's, and later run by the Madera Sugar Pine Co. A couple nice two-tone Star 102's just happen to be on the shelf!
