Indiana is well known for it's beautiful historic courthouses, many of which remain intact. Columbia CIty's town square is indicative of the town squares found throughout Indiana. Columbia City is located just north of the Trenton Field, a geologic feature which provided the mass of natural gas which provided energy to a multitude of glass houses like King City, Hemingray and Ball .
