While the upper part of the line runs across some abandoned pasture (note fence wire at ridge crest), from there it drops off a steep hillside to an abandoned railroad grade and down into the valley below. Taken from a ladder propped into trees I was limbing, this photo shows the ridge pole against the sunny open field beyond. Hours were spent in this area cutting trees and limbs that had grown into the right of way.
