This pole was really trashed. One whole pin and insulator were gone. On the other side, the pin had split and flipped. Both wires were flying free and only held in the general area by being tangled in the pine tree in the background. Widdo Bwudder puts a face on the scene as he climbs down from getting a close up of the new pin and Star 102 wired in. The careful study will note the next pole almost lost in the trees beyond. It has been 40 years since this line was last maintained. One tree that had grown up BETWEEN the wires was over eight inches thick where I cut it off some 28 feet off the ground !
