Price Guide syntax - The "/" (slash) reading "over"

All of the above examples show (in black) HEMINGRAY / PATENT MAY 2 1893 with a "blot out" (in red) of AM. TEL. & TEL. CO.

This is written in the price guide as

HEMINGRAY / ['AM. TEL. & TEL. CO.' blotted out] / PATENT MAY 2 1893

Should this be expanded into five listings, or is "further detail left to the specialty collector"? -- I believe the latter. This is also consistent with the price guide authors point of view, as described on page 12 of the 2007 price guide.
