This piece saw service in downtown Wilkesboro, NC. It was removed by a lineman/collector when the line was wrecked out, and purchased with his collection by a friend of mine. This friend credited the purchase price as he inventoried the stock at $20, thinking it was "only a purple Brookfield 102"! Knowing I specialize in these crown emb'd 102's, he let me know about it and we worked out a deal. It was nowhere near the $20 figure! Shown with a sea green and a bluer than typical for comparison.
