I saw an article clipped from the Des Moines Register, highly recommending this restaurant for the excellence of their pork tenderloin sandwiches. Apparently it's owned by a relative of one of our church members.

Well, that article got my attention right away. In the summers of '63 and '64, as I drove all around Illinois providing sound for county fairs, I got to pursue one of my Great Passions: the quest for the ultimate pork tenderloin sandwich.

Not so amazingly, in those days the lowliest dumps seemed to produce the best pork tenderloin sandwiches, accompanied by a slice of apple pie. You know the kind of place I mean: a diner with two fuel pumps out front, and the "Eat Here and Get Gas" sign.

So if I make it to Coralville, this place is definitely on my list for lunch. Not that this place seems to be a dump at all! I'm hungry already.
