This is the type of construction used for all the three phase banks on this base. This one in particular only supports 3-10 KVA's. Kind of seems like overkill in construction material to me. It has also been abandoned for 20+ years since that building fell out of use with the closure of the base. The only purpose this structure serves is supporting the one street light.
