Wire cache was so named when in 1917, a crew of CNR rail workers discovered the remains of the old log cabin where line materials had been stored in 1876 for the building of a telegraph line in British Columbia, Canada CD 734 McMicking insulators are the ones seen in this historic photo. This photo contains incorrect information regarding the intended use of these line materials. Not only did this stash of materials miss the Collin's line by several hundred miles, they missed each other by 10 years as well.
