We got the bucket truck as close as we could to the pole and stripped off the glass, cross arm, and attachments and dropped the rest to the ground. Then we found a pole to use as a temporary replacement and strapped it to the old pole stub. Truly a "lash-up" in every sense of the words! We had to sort out and re-tension and attach the wires back to the temp pole. We decided to install a steel pole as the permanent one, since this pole has to support not only the main line wire but also every line in the switch yard nearby!
