Unit on left is a real zippy yellow-green and full of fibrous-looking junk. It really stands out from a typical green unit like shown on left. I picked the zippy dude off a farmer line where I also found an olive-amber one. That was quite a day for these and set me to looking through my boxes for more. I had picked the one on right about 1977 near Vernita Bridge, Wa. from a four wire sidepin lead. Got quite a shock doing it too. Seems the line ran under some big high voltage towers not far away and the static charge really builds up in nearby wires. Zing ! |
