Up for grabs this evening is an example of the tough "Teal green" colouration available as the darkest shade of green that Dominion CD 154s occur in. The piece definitely stands out when placed next to any ordinary light green Dominion, and as nearly any Canadian collector will attest to, these can be a very tough piece! A couple small caches of them have turned up across Ontario over the years, and the pieces originating from those caches are the only examples known in this colour!

This piece is priced quite reasonable due to a fairly prevalent bit of damage, which may, very likely, have been present from the time of manufacture. Perhaps the result of some sort of equipment malfunction, or maybe a branch blowing too close to the piece during heavy winds for many years of service. Either way, the only damage visible on this shiny, dark hunk of glass is an area of "grinding" or some sort of scratching on the front right dome. There are a couple square inches of grinding that removes the uppermost layer of glass on the front right dome, 1 1/2" of the front, right upper wire ridge, and 3/8" of the front, right, lower wire ridge. There is also some light highpoint scratching on the "42".

All in all, not a bad specimen of a tough colour, and priced quite reasonably at $16.00 U.S. plus shipping. This colour lists at $75-100, so take advantage of the opportunity to add an example to your collection at a reasonable price! I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me with any questions, or for additional photos! All the best!
