I recently received these insulators in a trade with a Dutch collector. My wife Bev took one look and said "those two look like owls" My response was " well yes, if you turn them upside down" but she as usual, was correct. So here are the devoted "OWL" parents with their hatchling in the nest. You can see that even at this early stage it is very demanding and crying feed me. I'm fortunate they chose the Insulator Field in Merritt, B.C., to nest and raise their family.

The next picture shows the conventional placement of the OWL family, plus some other interesting pieces from Holland, including a copper covered porcelain insulator. Also shown is an OTE marked pothead insulator manufactured by a German company. Their logo is an intertwined CV within a circle. I am hopeful that this is the first of many more trades with this collector from the Netherlands.
