One of my relatives had a retro-party a "few" years ago and the theme was to come dressed up and looking like a real throw-back from the hippie-era. So, with a couple trips to our local Salvation Army I came up with an "outfit" that truly was late 1960s. Here is a candid unposed shot of me as a "flower child" as I was fiddling with my long hair (it was a windy day at the occasion!) If there was a prize at Uncle Bob's party, I think I came close. No, I never wore "trendy" clothes as seen in shown costume in the psychedelic days. Then, "drugs" of my choice in those days were in-the-wild insulator finds; correspondence/trades; OBX Magazine (starting in June 1968); Crown Jewels of the Wire Magazine (debut in March 1969) and so forth. Back to fashion: the dress code strictly was a shirt and a tie for the young guys at Weymouth (MA) High School at the time! BYW, 1960s tunes with a live band and other memorabilia filled out the rest of this great family occasion!
