I got this cool guy from the dumpsite at Steve Blair's house and had no idea that there was so much going on with this unlisted Hemingray No 12 until I got it out of the acid. This one, the E in Hemingray is an F,the lowest bar of the E is completely void, not underpoured but just was never there. The A in Hemingray is missing the middle bar and there is also a double blot under the 2 in 12,plus the R is missing the left lower leg completely. All embossing on the rear skirt is perfect, so it's obviously an engraver mistake or problems with the stamps the person used on the front skirt. The threads in this are some of the best Brookfield swirl start type threads I have ever seen on any Hemingray piece! For some reason I always seem to find the new and never before seen pieces...last year it was the 113 HEM1NGRAY error with a 1 in the Hemingray name.
