John Contreras of San Diego, drove for 2 days to get to the Merritt Show. He arrived about 6 PM Friday night, just in time to join us for Chinese food at one of our favourite Merritt restaurants. Here he is meeting Brenda and Aidan, and admiring Aidans collection of threadless insulators and pieces found on the old Collins line. Standing beside Brenda is Denny Hackthorne, also of California. In the background are Jack Roach in the dark jacket, and Les Berkes.

John Contreras is a Victor specialist, and large multipart enthusiast. He managed to pick up several multies, and even got to go out on a quick but successful hunt with Dave Fleishman. It was nice to be able to welcome John to the Insulator Ranch.
