Finally, an intact example of how the grounding strap was attached to the crossarm between Pyrex 122.4 insulators that used a 'threaded' copper sleeve insert. A wooden cob was screwed onto the steel pegs and the copper sleeve placed over the cob. The copper strap was soldered to a sleeve on both ends. The insulators were screwed down on top of the threaded sleeves. I had to leave it as we were still a couple miles from the truck.
