Gila Bend, AZ city park has found a use for un-needed signal battery shelters. Kids can play in these interesting castles without having any idea that they were originally along the railroad track. The signal batteries were needed in this remote area where there weren't any power generators for many miles. Gila Bend often is the high temperature for the nation so maintaining the primitive batteries was probably not a sought after job.
