Haha! A unique experience to be sure!

Whilst out hunting, Kyle & a friend of mine stopped into a small antique shop with a lot of old tools just to pop the usual question, and the fellow running it turned out to be more interesting than anticipated! After touring the shop, we were prepared to leave, when he produced a trio of small hatchets, three different sizes, and told us to follow him. After demonstrating how to properly "bury the hatchet" by throwing it at the wooden target he had set up, he let us give it a shot.

Admittedly, I didn't get a single one to stick in. Most of them just bounced off the log and fell to the ground (one also going particularly astray and leaving a lovely dent in his white privacy fence behind the target). Apparently the only real technique in proper hatchet burying is the distance you keep from your target... probably true in both senses of the phrase. :D
