I came home and saw a blank space on my wall where a shelf used to be. Uh-oh. The damage: I lost one of my prized New England pieces, a one-of-a-kind junky Nat Ins Co 138.2, and luckily the only other piece from that shelf to shatter was a common Duquesne toll. An irreplacable unembossed Oakman signal miraculously survived as did two other more common pieces. Upon closer inspection, the screws had stripped from their brackets and the weight of the glass had brought the shelf crashing down. Take care, check your shelving! Don't let this happen to you!
