An interesting and pretty complex dead-end system. You will note that the text says a Hemingray-43 and a Hemingray-45 although from the pictures, they look like a CD 213 (old style Hemingray 43) and a CD 154 (Hemingray-42). The text reads: "Sketch of a method for supporting and dead-ending wires at long spans (from 300 to 400 feet). Based on specifications from Association of American Railroads, 1-A-6, drawing T & T 2734. Hemingray insulators shown: A = Number 43, B = Number 45, and C = Number 110."

I suspect they are using a CD 214 (new Hemingray-43) and a CD 155 (Hemingray-45) since they reference a Hemingray-45 but it sure looks like the picture is a CD 154 Hemingray-42... Not the first error in a Hemingray catalog or ad that we have seen... I'm sorry I do not have a date for this ad, but the only mold year I have for a CD 1071 is 1947, so I have to assume it is probably dated 1947..
