My friend Duane Chase brought over this Hemingray 42 with a black rubber collar in the wire groove. It fits perfectly in the groove. I've never seen anything like this and think it is just a chance fitting of 2 completely unrelated objects. But it fits so well that there is just a little bit of doubt in my mind. Perhaps this collar does serve an insulator purpose. Anyone out there ever seen this before?
