While on vacation last week in south central Oregon, I was taking some old powerline photos on a 2-lane back road formerly the main highway N. of Klamath Falls. I looked over at the hills and spotted a pole line marching up the hill in back of a ranch. Drove in for a closer look, gate was open, saw nobody so I got out and took photos. This is what is left of the Bell System interstate open wire toll line that once went north and south through central Oregon. From where I was standing the line turned a square corner and headed east up this mountain. The next shot shows the line heading south out of the ranch.
