This insulator surfaced on eBay a couple weeks ago, and I was happy to win it. It is quite an odd shape with its round head, one hole and small diametre at the wire groove. Neither does it have an inner skirt; see next photo [id=152300725] for bottom view. Its height is just under 3 inch (74 mm). The lady who sold it bought it in Bordeaux in France, and I am lead to believe it is a French piece. If one put arms on it and fill in the hole, it would resemble a gingerbread...is it the forerunner of the gingerbread??

Does anybody have some information about this odd one? I don't find it in the Worldwide porcelain books neither. // Fredrik
