Help! I have tried to find information about this insulator on the internet without success. Here are the questions I need answers to. 1. What is it? 2. Where does it come from? 3. How old is it? 4. What was it used for? 5. How much is it worth? 6. Where is the best place to sell this item?

It is a light lime green/brown swirl glass like material with a seam running up one side and down the other. The nut and bolt is brass. The photo gives you an idea of it's size. There are no other identifying marks.
