Katrina Damage - I-59 in Mississippi

On the way back home 9/5/05. The Disaster Relief Team came back thru Mississippi on Interstate 59. Miles and miles of trees blown down. You could really get a grasp of the direction the wind was blowing. As we headed north all the trees on the right hand side of the road were blown over to the left. The guardrails were mangled from many impacts where the trees had fallen on them. Miles and miles and miles of trees. With so much rebuilding that will have to take place over the next several years. I would hope that some of this could be salvaged for wood products instead of lying to waste and rot
