These two items were dug in San Francisco recently along an old railroad line. The one on the right is a specimen CD 700.1 in bubbly clear (I have seen it in person). The one on the left came out of the same hole, but is it an insulator? Is it the granddaddy of all tolls?

Answer: Probably not an insulator... the "wire groove" should be concave not convex.
