Here is what happened to me when a deer ran in front of the van. Near as I can tell when she jumped out in front of me (from the bank at the side of the road) she went under the front; somehow managed to mess up the rear axle (as the van started to slide sideways - much to my surprise); we went off into a small culvert (this made the van tip), the van hit head on into the bank(!); and we flipped up on the top while sliding to a stop. All of this in darkness as the headlights were gone at this point! Thankfully Samuel (in the front seat), Seth behind Sam, and myself had no injuries to speak of. We simply found ourselves upside down in the dark. Thank God for protection!
