Several years ago friend of mine made a small marble and brass table lamp that uses insulators as the 'lampshade' and gave it to me as a gift. Here is a picture of the lamp (unfortunately you can't see the base) using a bubbly robin's egg blue Am. Ins. Co. beehive. The effect is quite beautiful.
