About Me

I have been actively collecting insulators since 1979. I joined the National Insulator Association as a junior member in 1984 and have been a member ever since. I chose a broad category of collecting colored threaded glass insulators from North America and my collection consists of about 100 choice pieces. I have studied the CD 121 Am. Tel. & Tel. Co. insulator extensively and at one time owned over 300 different mold variations. When I was more active, I was known at shows as Mr. Mint.

I primarily seek the following insulators:

Some of my more memorable hobby related accomplishments and experiences include:

In addition to collecting insulators, I also collect deluxe balloon tire bicycles and related advertising items from the 1930's - 1960's. I enjoy EBAY, restoration work, photography and gardening. When not searching for insulators or working on restoration projects, I am a technical team lead of a web based application at Lucent TechnologiesLink to off-site page.
