Commemorating the 150th anniversary of the first telegraph company in Canada in 1996. The Toronto, Niagara and St. Catharines Electro-Magnetic Company was formed in October 1846.

During 1995 and 1996 several Canadian commemoratives have been produced in realistic colors in limited quantities. Considerable effort was made to produce these items as authentically as possible. Dated base embossing in accordance with NIA reproductions standards, no pin hole provides full dome glass. Each item was traditionally hand pressed in a two-piece opening mold. Each item in each color run numbered and signed by the glass artist.
