"This insulator embodies the result of many years of experience in long distance design. It has a long leakage path with straight, smooth sides on the inner surface of the petticoat; thus water dries quickly from its surfaces. The groove is square, with a flat shelf to support the line wire. The lower side of the groove is strengthened to support a very heavy sleet load."
