Club Information and History
The Greater Chicago Insulator Club was founded in 1992 by Bob Stahr and Bob Cook. It
currently has over 100 members, mainly from Illinois, Indiana and southern Wisconsin.
Some of the early members included Rick Soller, Jim and Joan Crandall, Ray and Judy Heim,
Arlen Rienstra, Dave Franz and John and Carol McDougald. A newsletter is published six
times per year and a membership directory and specialty list once a year. The GCIC
sponsors occasional swap meets where you can buy, sell, trade or just visit will fellow
collectors. They are usually hosted by a club member, giving them opportunity to display
their collection. Lunch is usually provided by the club.
Club Dues
Club Dues are $10 per year (junior members $5 per year).
