Southern Porcelain Company

Southern Porcelain Company

The South did "rise again" during the excavation of the Southern Porcelain Company of Kaolin, South Carolina. The history and products of the company have been well researched and documented. Pictured are the U-989 "Milk Bottle" on the top row with a porcelain block surrounded by a U-990 teapot in white and one in a brown glaze on the second row. The ivory-colored refractory brick of Kaolin is marked with the company name.
