A historic telegraph submarine cable insulator

A historic, telegraph submarine cable insulator from a line off Prince Edward Island which was a vital link in the first Transatlantic cable line is offered for sale. 1888 electrical and civil engineering reports indicate that Frederick Newton Gisborne was associated with this porcelain-lined, iron insulator's widespread use circa 1852.
