Marking Variants

These six marking variants on the 1867 style Brooks' "ramshorns" represent the only ones that can be verified through current research. There are three other variants listed in Delling's Book: "Before Threads" but their existance cannot be verified at this time. One of the unconfirmed markings is simply "Brooks". The other two both have raised embossing around the rim in a circular fashion similar to the incuse style. The unmarked style (upper right) and the incuse marking (lower right) are the scarcest of the six known variants.
