Backlit display case for sale. I fabricated this several years ago from a repurposed rifle case.

DIFFUSER: Sign grade Lexan

SHELVES: Adjustable 3/8" tempered glass, polished front edges

LIGHTING: Two systems on independent switches. One system consists of four 24" florescent fixtures, mounted horizontally with full spectrum bulbs (I think they are 5000k). The other system consists of four incandescent Edison lightbulbs spaced equidistantly behind the Lexan. These run on a dimmer switch. You can dial this system from a faint warm glow up to high intensity. You can run the light systems independently or together to achieve a variety of backlighting effects. It's great when you have company and don't want to glare your guests out of the room.

FRONT ACCESS: Two 3/16" tempered glass doors, on stereo cabinet style hinge posts, with magnetic spring closures.

REAR ACCESS: Back panel unscrews to access the lights. I've been able to run it for years between bulb changes.

STORAGE: Two small storage drawers at the bottom.

CONDITION: All glass, hardware and lighting is in great shape. The wood case itself is not "fine furniture." I purchased it in a second hand store and it looks hand made. It has some screw and nail holes, and a few light scratches. It probably wouldn't blend well in a formal living room with fine furniture, but would go great in a man cave or collection room. The Surge sidepins and smaller display case sitting atop this unit in the photo are not included.
